Correcting the Paint on a New Vehicle

As mentioned previously, no vehicle is perfect. We correct a plethora of new vehicles that have just been purchased every year, and encourage individuals who are considering buying a new vehicle to bring it our way after purchase for a light paint correction process.

This isn’t to say that dealership-caused swirl marks will really bother you aesthetically; however, knowing that this has been done to your new vehicle not only gives you peace of mind that your ride is flawless on the exterior, it statistically gives it value that was never there prior. Paint correcting a new vehicle helps turn it into an asset rather than let it fall into the realm of a liability.

What is Involved in our Paint Correction Process?

The steps in paint correction for any vehicle here at B’s Custom Detailing LLC vary depending on the package you purchase. Generally, much of the steps are the same throughout, with the higher level packages adding in a few additional processes.

Here is a look into what correcting the paint of an automobile requires:

Basic Exterior Detailing

We start by hand washing and decontaminating your paintwork by implementing our basic interior detailing service. This ensures we will not be further damaging your paint by polishing abrasive contaminants against the surface.

Cutting, Polishing, and Jeweling

This step involves certain levels of abrasion, depending on the package you purchase from us here at B’s Custom Detailing LLC. Usually, customers with more defects that need correcting will consider the Gold and Platinum Packages, which involve two or more stages of polishing, cutting, and jeweling. Additionally, we use only the best professional products for these services including Menzerna compound and Rupes polishers.

Paint Sealant Application

As we finish, we then seal your paint with a top-tier paint sealant. This is an added level of protection similar to a ceramic coating, though does not give off the same gloss that our ceramic coatings do. This is why we encourage our customers to consider having a ceramic coating installed following paint correction work.

Keep Things Protected with a Ceramic Coating

Following our paint correction services, it is wise to consider sealing your paint with a ceramic coating. These hydrophobic surfaces lower the daily maintenance of your ride, but prevent any harmful chemicals that wash up from the road or damaging liquid environmental contaminants from staining your newly corrected paint, such as tree sap, tar, salt brine, or bird droppings.

We have plenty of experience in coating newly corrected finishes on a variety of automobiles, and know just how precious your ride is to you, especially if you’ve taken the liberty to correct minor defects or other notable discrepancies on the paintwork. Be sure to explore what ceramic coating packages we have to offer, and don’t forget to fill out our form for a free quote.
